The University of Alicante has always been distinguished by a firm commitment to innovation and academic excellence, but also by its connection with the needs of society. Following this tradition, the LLM in Digital Society aims to train professionals who are able to face the legal challenges posed by new technologies, a professional profile increasingly required by companies and public institutions. The protection of privacy and personal data, intellectual property, cybersecurity, electronic contracts and consumer protection, the rights of users of online platforms and many other aspects of the digital society are increasingly relevant for companies and legal professionals.

Methodology

The programme will be developed through in person theoretical and practical sessions taught both in Spanish and English. The students will be provided with specific teaching materials before every session and the classes will be complemented with personalised tutorials attended by the professors responsible for the different subjects.

The knowledge and skills acquired by the students will be assessed by means of theoretical and practical tests. The student participation in class and activities proposed by the teaching staff will also be part of the evaluation process.
